Skim City: A Word About Slotstik Skimboards

Established back in 1987, Slotstiks aren't just skimboards, they're serious works of art. No kidding. Buy one of these beauties and you'll see what I mean. It's almost a shame to ruin their picture-perfect surface with wax and/or pads. But you will. And that's where the  fun begins. Does any board hold the waveface better? Until recently Slotstik eschewed (like that word?) epoxy in favor of polyester, but now epoxy masterpieces are creeping into their line-up. Slotties come in basically 3 different styles and 3 different cloths. Because of their narrow shape, some find the Slottie a bit more difficult board to master, but once you do (maybe a session or two), you'll never think about riding another brand of board.
